Happy Yom Kippur?

Tonight at sundown will be beginning of the Jewish Holiday Yom Kippur. During Yom Kippur we ask for forgiveness from our sins and to be sealed into the book of life. Although this is a holiday, it is not spent celebrating, eating, and being merry. This "holiday" will be spent (starting at 6 PM) in religious services, praying to g-d, and instead of eating, as of sundown those of us over the age of 13 will be fasting. So instead of saying happy yom kippur, you should say hope that you have a meaningful fast, which is what I will be saying to all of you who are observing, and also please forgive me if I have offended you this year in any way. thanks!

New Travel Blog

Dave and I seem to be travelling a lot the last couple of years with our friends wedding and our wedding. We also have been taking advantage of the two week break Boeing gives its employees at Christmas to travel to fun places. The problem is as time goes on we tend to forget what we've done and seen in our travels. We decided to go back and capture those trips in a blog so we can reminisce and share with fellow travelers ideas of things to do all over this world!

hmm...it's been a long time since I had to try and study. Not sure I even remember how to study. Hopefully studying is like riding a bike..what do you think?

mentor reception

heading to the mentor reception over at the burke museum. I'm pretty nervous.... I really want to make a good impression, but I do not feel very prepared. The unpreparedness, combined with the not having worked out in too long, and squeezing in the suit, makes me feel oh so comfortable..The reception is from 7 until 8:30 pm, and then I need to come home and do my homework. Hopefully all of  this is worth it, right?

blogging

I'm not very good at blogging.. I like the idea of blogging... I like reading other people's blogs, and I started a blog, well actually 2 blogs, but yea not obviously very good at the actual blogging part of it........

I've been pretty busy lately.  I started an MBA program at the University of Washington, and it has mostly taken over my life.  Most of my reading right now revolves around econ and accounting. I know, please don't be jealous... Although it is super time consuming, I'm loving being a student again, and in a dream world would love to quit my job and only be a student. Alas, I have also, fairly recently started a new job at Boeing. So, lots of new things and lots of exciting/good things, and I'm pretty busy. Busier than I've been in awhile.

halloween comes early

Today at work they had a costume contest. I decided to come to work in my workout gear so I could workout after work and say I was dressed up as a runner.  No one commented on what I wore. I think I can say it would be fine for me to wear workout clothes everyday to work. Good to know!
