I've been feeling a bit sluggish since I have been back from Italy. I am glad that I had a great weekend to remind me of how much fun I can have in seattle. Friday night we went out for Brad's 27th birthday. Dave and I decided to take the bus from ballard, which runs once an hour through U-district to capital hill. When the bus was heading through the U-district, 3 college freshman got on, and had a very amusing conversation that went something like this:
freshman 1:"So you're from ohio? does it rain in ohio?"
freshman 2: "yes, we get rain"
freshman 3:"Do they have grass in ohio?"
freshman 2: "yes, we have grass"
freshman 1:"What about olive garden? do you have olive garden?"
freshman 2: "yes, we have olive garden?"
and finally they talked about football and how they didn't know who the buckeyes were and weather they were professional or college. Consider udub has played OSU this was pretty funny. These girls made it seem like being from Ohio was like being from pluto or jupiter. They cracked me up and made me glad I was not a udub student.
After our hillarious bus ride, and a quick stop to buy the birthday boy a happy birthday cupcake, we headed to elysian brewery. The night was a lot of fun, and the only thing missing was Jen, who got sick, and couldn't make it out. Other than that, we had a good dinner and some drinks at elysian brewery, then headed over to several different bars (moe, six arms, linda's, stumbling monk, to name a few...). I was passing out by stumbling monk, but had a really fun time celebrating brad's birthday.
The next morning, I woke myself up at 10:05 am, and forced myself to get dressed and head to brunch. I carpooled with maureen for brunch at rosebud with nat, maureen, amy, and amy's two new seattlite friends (shellie and sarah). We found a great parking spot but the meter wasn't working so I paid for parking twice. I was in desperate need of coffee, and sat down right in time to say coffee please!! Once coffee came and the new seattlites arrived, we had a really fun brunch. Then I headed home to relax before my night out.
